With the thanks of a grateful Association...
The CPHA Board of Directors and staff would like to thank departing members of the Board of Directors who provided strategic support to the Association.
The terms of the following members of the Board will end on December 31, 2016.
Jacqueline Gahagan, elected to the Board in January 2015, brought a unique perspective on public health issues and challenged the Board to think about diversity with an even broader range of criteria. Jacquie was instrumental in the initiation of a position statement on the importance of sex- and gender-based analysis.
Jim Mintz, elected to the Board in January 2015, freely shared his vast experience in a broad range of topic areas. CPHA is particularly indebted to Jim for the guidance he provided in the development of our marketing strategy, which will be his lasting legacy to CPHA.
Eric Young, also elected to the Board in January 2015, brought his commitment to excellence to CPHA's policy alternative development process; all future policy work will be held to the higher standard that Eric helped establish.
During her most recent service to CPHA, Ardene Robinson Vollman joined the Board as a Director in January 2011, and in 2013 was appointed Chair-Elect. Upon assuming the position of Chair in 2015, Ardene brought her characteristic commitment to excellence and an enthusiasm for public health to her tenure. The Association's new Strategic Plan for 2016-2020 represents Ardene's crowning achievement as Chair and establishes a solid road map for the Association's growth over the next five years.
CPHA has been fortunate to benefit from the experience, perspective and dedication of these Board members. We thank you all for your contributions to CPHA and wish you success in your future endeavours.
