Co-developed Learning Activities
A co-developed session is an accredited educational activity that is suggested by a pharmaceutical company and planned by with a CIC 2026 accredited provider: The Association of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Disease Canada (AMMI Canada) or the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS).
Co-developed Learning Activity sessions are 75 minutes in length and scheduled outside the hours of the scientific program. A maximum of 8 sessions will be accepted and are scheduled at the discretion of the Conference Organizing Committee.
The pharmaceutical company suggests a topic, learning needs and session description and objectives. AMMI or CPS will review the detailed proposal and appoint a representative member with expertise in the proposed subject area to identify faculty and finalize the session content. The accredited representative will be responsible for ensuring the following:
- Relevance to the target audience
- Content is cutting-edge, evidence-based and provides a balanced view of the subject
- Selected faculty are experts, unbiased and will address the educational objectives
- Content is developed in keeping with the Canadian Medical Association and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada guidelines.
Only Platinum-level sponsors of CIC 2026 are eligible to submit applications for a Co-developed Learning Activity. The accreditation fee of $15,000 plus 13% HST is separate from your sponsorship agreement with the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA). Upon approval of the application, AMMI Canada or CPS will invoice the accreditation fee directly to the Sponsor organization.
