Will Public Health 2026 have a virtual component?
Public Health 2026 will not have a virtual component. All presentations and participation will only be in-person.
Call for Submissions
When is the deadline for submission?
The call for submissions is closed. Given the exceptional response to the initial Call for Abstracts, CPHA will not be issuing a call for late-breaking abstracts.
When will I know if my Submission is accepted?
Submitters will be notified of the results of the peer review by Wednesday 17 December. All communication will be with the submitting author as indicated on the submission.
Presentations
Do presenters need to register?
All speakers are required to register the conference to be included in the final program. We encourage speakers to register for the full conference but, if unable to participate for all three days, discounted two-day and daily rates are available.
Session Room audio-visual
The following audio-visual will be provided in your session room:
- Podium, head-table and floor microphones
- Laptop, screen, projector
- Wi-Fi and video display capacity
We encourage speakers to use slides to accompany the presentation using a 16:9 ratio
- For Canva presentations, the venue Wi-Fi may not support the online version. To avoid technical issues, set your presentation to “Present offline”.
- Slides do not need to be submitted in advance. Instead, you will upload your presentation in the Speaker Ready Room at least two hours in advance of your session start time.
How long is an oral presentation?
An oral presentation is 12 minutes followed by a 3-minute discussion period. Each session will have five speakers grouped together by similar presentation topic.
When are posters presented?
Poster presenters will engage with participants during a dedicated poster session on Wednesday 11 March from 14:00 - 15:45.

When does registration open and Close?
Registration is open and the Early-bird registration deadline is Friday 13 February.
Will any sessions be recorded?
Sessions will not be recorded. Registered participants will be granted access to presentation slides after the conference.
What food and beverage are provided?
- Wednesday 11 March: PM coffee break
- Thursday 12 March: morning coffee, AM nutrition break, lunch
- Friday 13 March: morning coffee, AM nutrition break, lunch
Is Public Health 2026 accredited?
We will seek accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Certificates will be issued upon request after completing the evaluation form following the conference.
Will Wi-Fi be available during the conference?
Free Wi-Fi will be provided at the conference venue.
CAN INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES REGISTER?
Yes. International delegates may require a visa to enter Canada. Visit Citizenship and Immigration Canada for a list of countries for which visa restrictions apply and other pertinent information you may require to complete. The visa application can take several months. Once your registration is paid, you will receive an electronic confirmation of your registration. We will confirm receipt of payment but this does not represent an invitation for visa purposes.
Formal letters of invitation for visa purposes, will only be issued to accepted presenters.
