Presenter Guidelines
Conflict of Interest and Slide template
All presenters are required to complete a Conflict of Interest Disclosure and to include the details on the presentation slides. Disclosure must also be done verbally at the start of your presentation and ensure there is sufficient time to answer participant questions.
As you begin to prepare your presentation for your oral abstract, symposium, or workshop, review the PowerPoint template (display is optimized for 16:9 format).
A conflict exists if you have an affiliation (financial or otherwise) with a pharmaceutical, medical device or communications organization during the past two years.

- Include slide #1 if you do not have a conflict, OR
- Include slide #2 if you have a conflict to declare.
Audio Visual?
The following audio-visual will be provided in each session room.
- Podium, head-table and floor microphones
- Laptop, screen, projector
- Wi-Fi and video display capacity
Important: The Rogers Centre Ottawa (formerly the Shaw Centre) prohibits anything to be fastened or taped to the walls. Flipcharts can be provided at an additional cost.
Oral abstract Presentations
Accepted presentations are grouped into 90-minute sessions that share a common topic or complimentary theme. The order listed in the program, is the order of presentation. Presentations are 10 minutes followed by a 5-minute discussion period facilitated by a moderator.
Speaker Ready Room
Location: Room 203
Presentations do not need to be submitted in advance of the conference. Instead, final presentations are due in the Speaker Ready Room a minimum of two (2) hours prior to the session start time. We encourage you to preview your presentation and ensure graphics, text and media files display properly.

Post-conference
Presentations will be available to registered participants following CIC 2024. If you prefer that your presentation not be posted publicly, please contact the the CIC Secretariat by email.
Poster Presentations
Poster boards are 8' x 4' and shared with one other presenter.
Poster Printing Dimensions
Posters should be designed in a vertical (portrait) orientation.
- Minimum size: 24” wide x 36” tall
- Maximum size: 36” wide x 48” tall

Set-up

- Times: Monday 15:00 - 17:00 and Tuesday 08:00 onwards
- Poster boards are Velcro receptive and Velcro will be provided
Presentation Times

Dismantle
All posters must be removed from the boards by 17:30 Wednesday 27 November. Any posters that are left on the boards at this time will be removed and left at the registration desk unsupervised.
