Call for applications for partnership opportunity
Training and education on stigma related to sexuality, substance use and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections
Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) and Centre for Sexuality (C4S) are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking applications from organizations interested in delivering and evaluating stigma reduction training and education, and in leading organizational change efforts with health and social service professionals in their own communities.

Organizations selected for this partnership opportunity will be offered:
- Mentoring and support from CPHA and C4S throughout the four-year duration of the project on relevant topics, including trauma and violence-informed facilitation, meaningful engagement of community and people with lived and living experience, adult education, etc.
- Access to CPHA’s and C4S’s evidence-based and turnkey training resources focused on reducing stigma related to sexuality, substance use and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections
- Access to a network of other organizations similarly committed to stigma reduction through training and education
- An opportunity to participate in intervention research activities to advance collective understanding of stigma reduction; and
- Financial support averaging $12,000 a year (over four years) to support staff time and resources.

Interested organizations are invited to submit the following:

Letter(s) of support from your organization’s leadership (template available for download here)

A copy of the CV of 1-3 staff members who would be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the training workshops
Applications can be submitted in English or French via email to stbbi@cpha.ca no later than JUNE 9, 2023.
Those applicants shortlisted for an online interview will be contacted beginning June 2023. Please note that we will require your organization’s leadership as well as at least one key staff member who would participate in the coordination and delivery of the training workshops to be present for the interview.
Following the interviews, a total of three organizations will be selected to collaborate with CPHA and C4S from late summer 2023 to March 2027.
