Reviewers assess each abstract submissions according to the following criteria:

Innovation and relevance – Does the research address a gap in existing public health knowledge?
Objectives – Are the objectives clearly stated and do they specify what the research aims to achieve?
Methods – Are the methods clearly described and appropriate to the study’s purpose?
Analysis and results – Is the data analysis well described and suitable? Do the results address the stated objectives?
Conclusions – Are the conclusions justified and logically supported by the results and analyses?
Impact – Does the study provide clear evidence of its potential or actual public health impact?
Overall quality and clarity – Is the abstract well written and coherent?

Submissions must meet the following criteria otherwise, they will not be accepted for peer review:

Submissions MUST be completed using the template provided and be uploaded using the online portal. E-mail submissions are not accepted.
The template CANNOT be changed to include additional sections.
Submissions must not exceed one page.
Presenting Authors may submit a maximum of two abstracts.
Data, other research, and sessions presented at other conferences may be submitted.

Submissions that do not adhere to these criteria will not be accepted for peer review.

Each submission is reviewed and scored by at least two independent peer reviewers and final decisions regarding acceptance will be made by the Organizing Committee.
Submitters will be notified of the outcome by Monday 15 December.
An LCD data projector, microphone, computer (PC), screen and an audio-video connection are included as part of the standard audio visual package in each session room.
All speakers who present must be registered for at least one day of the conference by Wednesday 11 February in order to be included in the program.
No financial assistance is available for registration, travel, or accommodation fees.
Exhibitor and sponsor passes CANNOT be used by presenters.
