Chief Public Health Officer Annual Report Catalyst Grants – Evidence Brief Booklet

Launched between 2021 and 2023, the CPHO Annual Report Catalyst Grant Program invested $4.85 million across 43 projects to advance research aligned with priority themes identified in the Chief Public Health Officer’s Annual Reports, including public health system transformation, climate change, and community resilience in emergencies. Supported by six funders, the program aimed to strengthen connections between researchers, decision-makers, and knowledge users; support evidence-informed decision-making; and build capacity for applying context-specific knowledge to improve equity and effectiveness in public health systems. This booklet features Evidence Briefs from 27 funded teams whose projects have concluded, highlighting key findings, impacts, and policy- and practice-relevant implications, and showcasing how targeted knowledge mobilization can help bridge the evidence-to-action gap on pressing public health priorities.
