Legal: use of trademarks, icons, etc.

The use of other companies’ and institutions’ logos, icons, etc. usually require obtaining permission, and then the placement must often be  in accordance with their rules.

Below are some references that provide legal backing for the icons used on CPHA's websites.

Abobe

	Adobe Trademark Guidelines (PDF) Use of Adobe Icons and Web Logos The icon may not be resized, and must have 17 pixels of white space on all sides.  Therefore, to use the icon, use this code: <img src="/uploads/icons/readers/pdficon_small.gif"  style="padding: 0; margin: 17px;">
	Adobe Trademark Guidelines (PDF) Use of Adobe Icons and Web Logos The icon may not be resized, and must have 33 pixels of white space on all sides.  This icon should appear on the bottom of any pages that contains PDF files.  Use the global content plugin  – Get Adobe Reader (En) or Get Adobe Reader (Fr) – to ensure full compliance.
