Promising Practices and Possibilities for Health and Learning
The Adult Working Group of the Health & Learning Knowledge Centre, operating out of Saint Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, promoted health and learning for adults in the workplace, in health-care settings, among families and in communities.
This series of reports and fact sheets promotes health and learning for adults in the workplace, in heath-care settings, among families and in communities. Specific issues include how health and learning affect adults with low levels of literacy skills, adults living with HIV/AIDS, immigrants and refugees and those living in remote communities.
The reports highlight the barriers faced by these individuals and provides recommendations to better support the health of this group. Some of these are directed to policy makers and others to health-care and service providers.
