CPHA 2007 Annual Conference Objectives

  1. Provide a meeting ground for knowledge exchange among public health practitioners, policy-makers, and researchers from a range of disciplines (e.g. epidemiology, social sciences, geography, nursing, etc.) and sectors.
  2. Showcase innovative research that addresses social, cultural, economic and environmental determinants of health and its application.
  3. Profile strategies for building capacity for population and public health at local, provincial/territorial, pan-Canadian and international levels.
  4. Increase understanding of the social influences affecting population and public health.
  5. Leverage the potential of partnerships and collaboration to advance population and public health in the new millennium.
