SOPHA Program Expected Results






The SOPHA program over five years expects that:

  • Partner PHAs will be strengthened to address public health issues and to influence the process of developing public health policy and programs
     
  • Partner PHAs will enhance their capacity for evidence-based and advocacy work on public health human resource issues (public health workforce) at the national and global levels
     
  • The international public health association movement/networks will be strengthened to provide feedback into national health systems on public health issues.
     
  • The Canadian public health community will be engaged and informed in the international public health associations movement
