Resource Development to Raise Awareness About the Health Effects of Air Pollution
Resource Development to Raise Public Awareness About the Health Effects of Air Pollution and Actions to Improve Current Conditions
There is strong evidence that air pollution will have an increasingly negative impact on the health of Canadians. These resource materials are intended to raise public awareness about the health effects of air pollution and possible actions that may be taken to reduce and prevent those effects. The materials are intended for use throughout the year, although they also highlight Clean Air Day (June 2, 2004, June 8, 2005 & June 7, 2006) - an annual event celebrating people and communities creating cleaner, safer environments.
The materials target four different audiences:
- general adult population
- parents of children with asthma
- seniors
- health professionals
The following materials can be reproduced freely for non-profit educational purposes or as part of a public awareness initiative, provided that full acknowledgment of the source is made.
